Well, here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately:

First off, we have a couple of pictures of our little girl, Cadence. She is 23+ weeks old in these pictures.

Also, this past weekend Josh's mom and nieces came up to visit us in Memphis. We took them to the Children's Museum of Memphis and we all had a blast. Here are a bunch of pictures from the weekend.

Here is a whole picture of the crib with her name over the bedding. I think that we are going to put fabric panels, to match the bedding, behind some of the letters to make them stand out more.

Vacation and Baby News

So a few weeks ago we took a family vacation (me, Josh, my mom, my sister, our niece, and my grandmother) to the beach. We stayed in a condo in Navarre Beach, FL. It was a lot of fun! We got to relax and play in the ocean. Here are a TON of pictures from the trip:

Also, since the last time we posted, we found out that we are having a little baby GIRL!! We are so excited! We have been very busy starting to decorate the nursery and buying way to many cute little girly outfits. Pictures of the nursery will be posted once our bedding arrives in the next couple of weeks. Here is a picture of me at 5 months.

On another note, we have been going back and forth on a couple of different names for our baby girl, but we have finally decided on.....drum roll please............................................................................

Update

Well, we've been pretty busy this past month!

First off, Josh's mom and grandmother came up to Memphis to spend the weekend with us. While they were here they they got to see Josh perform in one of his concerts with the Memphis Symphony Chorus.

The next weekend I went over to Conway for our niece's, Arabella, birthday party. She turned 1 year old! Well, technically she doesn't turn 1 until May 5th, but they decided to celebrate her birth a little early.

This past week we had to make an unplanned trip up to Farmington, AR for my (Stephanie) grandfather's funeral. He past away on Sunday and the funeral was on Thursday. It was sad, but at the same time I know that he is in a much better place.

Well, after this past month we need a little break...so we are taking a small vacation to Florida for a week! We've rented a condo down on the beach and will just have a nice relaxing vacation with a few other guests...my mom, sister, and Arabella. Needless to say we are really looking forward to having a break from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.

Also this month, Josh has a committee meeting at school to determine when he will graduate with is Ph.D.! He is shooting for December, but it may not be until May 2010...either way, the light is at the end of the tunnel and coming up quickly!

There hasn't been any baby news this month because we had to postpone our last Dr. visit because of the funeral, but it is rescheduled in a couple of weeks. Also, we will find out the sex of the baby at the end of the month at our 20-week ultrasound! That is going to be a great day!! We have 2 names picked out...one for a boy and one for a girl. We may or may not tell everyone in blogland after we find out the sex of the baby...we haven't decided yet.

I think that is pretty much all that has been happening this past month!

Life

Our life has been pretty uneventful since we last posted.
Stephanie's mom came up to visit us for Stephanie's birthday back on March 21. She brought our niece, Arabella, with her so that we could get some practice in before October!

This past Friday we had another visit with the doctor. We got to see Baby Brown again! Here is Baby Brown's 12 week 5 day picture:



We were able to hear Baby Brown's heartbeat at a strong 153 beats/minute. We were also able to see the baby's hands and feet moving around! At least this time Baby Brown actually looked like a human...well except for this picture:

When we saw this picture on the screen, we all (the doctor included) started laughing, so she printed it out for us.

We still have around 6-7 weeks before we can look to determine the sex of the baby and that is when the real fun will begin....DECORATING! We already have the large pieces (crib, rocker, and changing table) for the nursery bought and put together. I know some people may call us crazy, but we like to get things done early, that is just our personality.

That has been our life these past few weeks.
